Parenting Education & Skills Training
In
the interactive six-session, "Becoming a Love and Logic Parent"
curriculum, parents learn strategies/techniques to increase their
parenting skills, decrease crisis situations, strengthen families, and
facilitate raising safe, healthy, responsible and motivated children.
It helps good parents become better parents, and helps those who need
some help develop the capacity to help themselves and their children at
no charge. Groups are ongoing. Info: 254-2000.
YWCA Programs for Parents

• MONDAYS through FRIDAYS, 8am-Noon & MONDAYS through WEDNESDAYS,
4:30-8:30pm - The YWCA New Choices Program provides free drop-in child
care for parents who are continuing their education or looking for
employment. Space is limited. Evening hours are for students only. A
phone orientation is required
Head Start Program

This free,
comprehensive preschool program is for children in Madison and Buncombe
counties ages 3-5 whose families meet the income guidelines. Info:
